Your Responsibilities:

Based in Baltimore, MD, you will lead and direct the Global Patient Monitoring Engineering Software Organization with multiple software development and systems engineering organizations in multiple countries. In this role, you will be responsible for:

? leading a world class software organization including:

o SW development professionalism

o Building up a focused strong innovation pipeline

o Robust processes ? audit ready anytime / anyplace, harmonized, and effective

o World class productivity ? avoid redundancy, adopts best practices, continues improvement

Component (Platform) based approach

o SW development environment ? productive, scalable, harmonized, cost effective

? the delivery of all software and systems engineering projects on time, with quality and in compliance with the lifecycle.

? people & org development including

o Scalable and effective structure

o Execution / result orientation culture

o People coaching, development, succession planning,

o engagement

o resource balancing, bringing in top class people

? serving as the software focal point for other PMI and HI/PM functional sections: Product Management, Program Management, Marketing, Service, Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Finance, HR, Regulatory, etc..

? serving as the Engineering focal point for other groups within Philips,.

? co-leading the development of the common IS workstation and other cross BU SW business initiatives.

Your Profile:

? Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Science, prefer masters degree with fifteen plus years of progressive related work experience, preferably with a strong software/systems engineering background, applied to medical imaging equipment

? Minimum ten plus years progressive direct management must include global management responsibilities

? Demonstrated experience leading and managing S/W development teams in a global, multi-location matrix organization

? Demonstrated experience in complex portfolio project management should include schedule development, risk manage elements

? Demonstrated experience in project management should include schedule development, risk management, status reporting, contractor management, and staffing

? Demonstrated background as an agent for change and continuous improvement via formal software development processes and tools, e.g., CMMi, etc.

? Knowledge of modern software development technologies, e.g., OOAD, UML, etc.
