Software Applications Development Engineer

The IT Corporate Applications team designs, implements and supports large scale enterprise business systems that power the internal business operations. This includes Oracle ERP, Siebel CRM applications, data warehouse systems, and other off-the shelf and custom software, that are core to our internal systems architecture and data management strategy. The Corporate Applications team is part of the Global IT organization and is strategically aligned, with internal business partners across finance, HR, customer care, engineering, products and other G&A groups.

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced software engineer, who is comfortable in juggling multiple projects in a fast paced working environment, to join team. Candidate will work as part of a development team to design, develop, test, and deploy internal web applications and the company?s intranet site.

Key responsibilitiies include:

- Design, develop, test, QA and deploy web applications using LAMP, Object Oriented programming concepts, and Web 2.0 technologies

Education:

BS/MS degree with focus on Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

8+ years working experience in designing and coding web-based applications using object oriented concepts

8+ years working experience in Database schema design

8+ years working experience in Unix based development environments (Linux and FreeBSD preferred)

8+ years working experience with PHP, MySQL, and Oracle DB

3+ years working experience with AJAX

Quick learner with excellent analytical skills focused on solving problems with design, development, and testing applications.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment

Passionate in learning new web technologies

Preferred Job Qualifications:

J2EE, PERL, and XML/XSLT working experience a plus
