Junior Linux Server Admin (Contract-to-Hire)
This position involves building, managing and maintaining the IT and Operations infrastructure for a quickly growing and fast-paced Seattle start-up. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, not afraid to tackle and solve complex problems, as well as provide out-of-the box solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
? Desktop support for Mac and Linux environments
? Maintain and support the corporate network and user environments
? Provide and maintain well-written documentation for internal use
? Create and maintain desktop images for rapid deployment of new end user machines
? Perform and maintain an inventory of all IT hardware, software and peripheral equipment
? System maintenance in our colocation facility
? Provide individual status updates to team lead and/or manager
Position Requirements
? 2+ years working in a fast paced, high tech environment
? Knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Linux and OS-X operating systems
? Strong networking and troubleshooting skills
? Experience with ticketing systems
? Strong communication and writing skills
? Strong organizational skills
? The ability to be creative to address immediate issues
? Participates in on-call rotation
? Ability to lift 50 lbs
? Reliable transportation
? Bonus ? knowledge of Cisco networking products
