The product portfolio includes application specialization in gene expression, genotyping, next generation sequencing library preparation and protein crystallization. SUMMARY

Develop AgBio content for next-generation genomic platforms together with an interdisciplinary team and external organizations.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

? Interface with academic, governmental and industrial customers and lead development efforts to create panels of genotyping assays which take advantage of technology to provide superior value to plant and animal agricultural markets.

? Promote the adoption of panels as de facto industry standards.

? Verify panel assays and generate study data to support marketing and sale of panels and chips and instruments, both individually and in collaboration with external organizations.

? Identify and prioritize new agricultural markets and customers; provide guidance on internal technology development.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

? Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, or Molecular Biology with 5-8 years experience.

? Experience applying genomics information in the agricultural field (industrial experience preferred; academic or governmental experience valuable).

? Experience collaborating across multiple organizations ? preferably a mixture of academic, commercial and governmental ? to establish and achieve common objectives.

? Technology development experience.

? Experience with both plant and animal breeding preferred.



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

? High-performance individual with a proven ability to generate results.

? Ability to manage outside collaborators.

? Working knowledge of genomic technology and instrumentation preferred (i.e. next generation sequencing, SNP genotyping, SNP identification and validation methods)
