The company is looking to add a Tech Analyst to their User Experience team that primarily focuses on improving the customer, partner, and internal selling and purchasing experience. As a member of their team, the consultant would work with their business and technology teams to enable the organizational goal of creating a best-in-class selling and purchasing experience through user-centered design. The consultant would guide business process, policy, and systems decisions by being the expert in user needs for your assigned process area. In this position, the consultant?s focus would be on the finance aspects of the user experience, including partners pay invoices and review accounts.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Analyze recommendations from research activities (usability studies, competitive evaluations, user surveys, heuristic evaluations and other methods)
- Translate recommendations into implications to business process, policy, user interface design, and systems architecture decisions.
- Maintain a ?user requirements? document for your assigned process area
- Advocate for users during requirements and solutioning discussions
- Make key trade-off decisions by applying business and systems constraints (for your assigned process area) to end-state user interface design proposals.
- Work with Design Analyst to adapt design documents to reflect these decisions.
- Consult with business and IT on how to solution the user requirements
- Participate in in-context user observations and interviews in an effort to understand end-user interaction and needs
- Conduct expert evaluations of proposed architectures and designs
- Effectively interpret and communicate research outcomes with technical and non-technical constituents with the goal of advocating an end-user focused design and development approach.
- Play an active role in all aspects of the design process including identification of user needs, requirements definition, storyboarding and prototyping, and iterative end user validation
- Coach and share best practices through whitepapers, presentations, and other materials with internal and external constituents
Skills Required:
- Experience working on desktop and/or internet applications
- Experience in the e-commerce industry a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills
- Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
Education:
BS or MS degree in Computer Human Interaction, Human Factors, or related field and 2-7 years of related UE experience
