Reports to: VP of Operations

Location: This position will be based at the company's headquarters, located in San Jose

The IT Manager's role ensures the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Participate in overall IT business planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems; assures integrity of IT organization data, proprietary information, hardware/software procurement and related intellectual property through information security and access management.

Responsibilities:

Manage the corporate IT infrastructure and desktop services

Oversee corporate network, peripherals and systems administration

Oversee day-to-day operations of help desk support

Participate in overall IT business and office expansion planning

Development and management of IT policies, procedures, and best practices

Backup and recovery design and implementation

Oversee systems monitoring and user training

Requirements:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; MS degree preferred

7+ years experience in network and systems administration, including roles at the management level

Unix/Linux systems administration experience at the expert level

Advanced knowledge in networking design and administration - Windows and Unix/Linux

Advanced knowledge in server hardware maintenance

Advanced in Windows Domain administration

Advanced knowledge in backup/recovery design and administration

Basic knowledge in Check Point Firewall administration

Basic knowledge of Cisco design and administration

Strong foundation in network design, systems administration and supporting software development environments

VMware Lab Manager and /or ESX experience desirable

Basic knowledge of EMC SAN administration desirable

Basic knowledge of Juniper Networks SSL VPN - Secure Access desirable

Basic knowledge of Wireless Networking desirable
