Overview:
Speech represents the next great leap forward in control of automated systems. As a Sr. Software Engineer in the Professional Services organization, you will be responsible for building Nuance's world class automated speech applications for industry leading companies.
Responsibilities:
? Develop speech applications primarily in Java from a User Interface Design Specification.
? Implement backend and CTI interfaces primarily in Java from design specifications.
? Install and integrate Nuance Products and the completed application in customer environment.
? Support Customer Acceptance Testing, deployment, and tuning of the application.
Qualifications:
? BS in Computer Science, and/or equivalent experience
? 10+ years experience in developing Java applications, utilizing J2EE servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, and BEA
? Experience with Servlets and XML
? Excellent analysis and diagnostic skills
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Working knowledge of scripting language, with Perl strongly preferred
? Ability to work well with other technical experts in user interfaces and speech technology
? Experience in VXML, computer telephony, or speech recognition a plus
? Experience in C and C++
