Job Title: IT Manager
Description:
In this position, you will create and implement the company's Information Technology (IT) strategic plans, policies and objectives, while maintaining all information systems and communications infrastructure. This position is a working management role - you must be willing to "do it all" - from end-user support and trouble-shooting to project planning and budgeting. As with any startup, you will wear many hats and may be asked to perform tasks outside of this job description. A positive attitude, and a willingness to get things done, is essential. The position will report to VP of Engineering.
Role/Responsibilities:
Plan, build-out, maintain and support the corporate IT and phone infrastructure.
Ensure continuity of computer services for users throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination.
Implement, coordinate and control information systems security
Implement, coordinate and control business continuity and disaster recovery
A demonstrated record of project management success, including both strategic planning and implementation
Explore new technology for future planning and potential implementation
Direct the information strategy of the company based on forecasting information from senior management
Establish, maintain and implement standard system (desktop/laptop/server) configurations
Design, specification, implementation, and support of all server (Windows and UNIX), desktop (Windows, LINUX, Mac) and network (LAN, WAN and remote access) infrastructure
Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers and SaaS vendors
Documentation, including maintenance procedures and end-user "cheat sheets"
Training end-users, in a group forum or one-on-one
Qualifications Required:
3 to 5 years of experience in an enterprise MIS/IT department managing a similar environment (Windows/UNIX/IP Network)
Strong understanding of current applications, technology and trends in IT
Strong knowledge and expertise in Microsoft platforms and applications.
Strong background and hands-on experience with Red Hat (and other varieties of) Linux
Hands on experience in implementing and maintaining business systems such as reporting (Omniture), CRM (NetSuite or Salesforce), Billing (GreatPlains, Quickbooks, NetSuite)
Well versed in server hardware specifications and configuration
Strong background with networking technologies and protocols
Knowledgeable and practiced in system security and firewall applications
Excellent communication, prioritization, management and inter-personal skills proven in a high-stress environment
Willingness to provide hands-on end-user support and implementation during normal business hours, as well as provide off-hours emergency support
Team player, must be able to work with other members of the Corporate IT organization
Contributor, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty in an environment that is dynamic and will force you to play multiple roles
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience working in a startup environment
Experience with database administration
Management and/or Mentorship experience
